KinnikinnickArctostaphylos uva-ursi
Bright red berries on this native evergreen ground cover develop in August and persist throughout the winter, making it an interesting winter plant. Kinnikinnik is a salt tolerant plant, which makes it an excellent ground cover choice in coastal areas. It looks especially nice spilling over rock walls, and it's often used on slopes or sandy soil for erosion control.
